My name is Justin and I have been rejected by the YouTube partnership program THREE TIMES in 2 months!
Call me bitter or plain jealous, but its clearly evident that someone at YouTube doesn't like me or my videos. Now it'll fully admit I never really expected to get it anyway. But I really wonder is it even worth it to get it?
I know for certain that you tube partners get the following:
*A banner on their videos and profiles
*Auto play on their video
*The chance to make a pitiful amount of money that won't even fill up your SUV or
pay your cable bill
I know for a fact only a select few people have actually quit their day jobs to produce sub-par videos made only for the masses. One scumbag in particular uses thumbnails of girls cleavage to cheat at almost every opportunity.. Another girl who thinks she's Japanese, just stares at her camera to appeal to pedophiles.
Right now I'm happy with the 500 subs I have. I'd rather have quality and not a mass of dummies subscribing to me. Now don't get me wrong there are partners out there that are awesome and I continue to watch their videos, but really a majority of youtube partners are chosen for sex appeal, bad comedy or just churn out content for the Lowest Common Demoninator.
When I quit YouTube the first time I figured no one wanted to see anything that is of actual value and intelligence. That is still the case and I accept that, but fortunately my subscribers are awesome and I watch people who are similarly minded.
That said, i'm pretty glad that I'm not a partner. I'd rather not degrade or dumb down my videos for simpletons. Having a banner would be great, but not at the cost of my integrity.
I'll stick to my day job and try to work my dream to make money writing.

Rosay and Riot Becki leave "The Pipettes"
Of course its all over the indie blogosphere OVER 9000 times by now.
Rosay and Riot Becki have left the The Pipettes! They left "to pursue other musical pursuits" according to the somber press release on their website.
Riot Becki and Rosay at Lee's palace
This is PROBABLY by design according to their manifesto.
The good news is that they are working on new material but with new members Ani and Anna (whomever they are). So I won't become An Hero because of this.
It is also important to know this is not the first time The Pipettes had members leave. Julia left and now is in the band "The Indelicates."
Here is a pic of me and them when I saw them in Toronto at Lee's Palace in November.
Now excuse me while i BAWWWWWWW
(Just kidding) But I wish the best of luck to Riot Becki and Rosay on their new projects. I'm sure they will be as equally good as their contributions to The Pipettes were! I really hope the sophomore slump doesn't affect the pips.

Anxiety and being featured.
Welp. This is it. From now until July 1st there is a shit load of things I must do in order to graduate.
I first must do well in my current classes, clear up some bullshit with transfered class I've taken and take a couple of exams to test out of spanish and math. Also I have to plan on moving out of Buffalo.
Hopefully I won't buckle under the pressure.
Now also last week I got featured on youtube. I did a video asking a simple question, "What do you want to do?" Whether or not if someone was in school or in an established career, I wanted to know. Unfortunately a lot of people had to point out in the comments that I wore a Mets hat or feebly attempt to insult me with the poorest excuse for grammar I've ever seen.
It really didn't surprise me one bit to see that. Most of the nation is being affected by the disease of stupidity and the inability to think critically. I'd expected that people would call me dumb and use colorful racial slurs, but of course a few people decided not to even TRY to have a real serious discussion. Because of this I think we as a society are doomed.
We are basically squandering our opportunities like using youtube as an agent for change and discussion. I am fortunate for having many actual intelligent subscribers and other who DID provided good advice and insight, but sadly they were not in the majority. Being featured wasn't as bad as I thought, but people who basically did not listen to my message just made me disappointed in society.
Because of a continued culture of stupid they (or their parents) will probably vote in McCain or Clinton and that will ensure that this country will remain fucked up for years to come. Yeah I went there. Yeah I did!
